Unofficially, it is said that the reason for this decision is related to VPN services that allow Chinese citizens to enter the pages blocked by government bodies, which are built into the software of the company. It is also suggested that the manufacturer of the Chinese government refused to provide the source code of its product, which is an action incompatible with the new rules, which recently entered into force and there may therefore be blocked.
It can not be ruled out that Avast has a lock to protect their own market and consumer confidence to use the software local businesses.
