Volkswagen scandal: Software provided by Bosch – News Radio ZET

Trouble Volkswagen began in the US

The US authorities revealed last Friday that Volkswagen is suspected by the US Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for manipulating the measurement of exhaust from diesel engines, which can mean for the manufacturer a huge penalty. On Tuesday the company acknowledged that challenged the EPA software was installed in his car outside the US. It may be in approx. 11 million vehicles around the world (including Poland).

At the head of the group stood former head of the company – the daughter of the Volkswagen – Porsche, Matthias Mueller. The former president of Volkswagen, Martin Winterkorn resigned emphasizing that takes responsibility for irregularities and persists in the interest of the company. He maintained, however, that he does not have nothing to complain about.

European Commission urged all EU countries to conduct national investigations aiming to determine the scale of the problem.
